Happy 98th Grandma

A friend rang yesterday and needed a card for his Grandma who was turning 98. It was stinking hot day with only a light breeze, perfect for sitting outside in our entertainment area and really not an ideal day to craft but hey 98 years old. That lady had to have a special card, no matter whether I felt like crafting or not.

So off I headed to the craft room, well actually the bomb site would be a better way of describing it. I removed the carpet square in the morning and took it round to our rental. Sounds easy enough but I had two trestles covered in stuff which needed moved, a couple of boxes of product semi packed which I need to take to Nelson on Friday. All in all it was a bit of a disaster zone.

But as I said 98 is pretty special. I ferreted thru my box of samples and came across a card I made 2 years ago for Savvys 13th birthday and decided to use that as my sketch. I used different colours and stamps but am pleased with the finished result. I hope his grandma likes it. I even decorated the envelope. My friend was pretty pleased with and even though it was too hot to craft I did enjoy making this card.

Check back in a couple of days and see what I made on Monday for a friend who is turning 60 on the 28th December.

One little stamp take 5

This is the last card in the series of 5 that I made using the little image from the Very merry tags set. Now we all have ton of scraps so this was an opportunity to take a small piece of white out of the drawer and use it to make this card. Now the question is what to do with all those other bits of cardstock?

I have been given a challenge by my daughter for the weekend to design and teach her friends some punch art. The only problem was shes told them Mum is teaching us how to make a ............ Looks like the punches will be out today and the thinking cap will be on. Oh dear I do hope I don't disappoint them.

Check back to see what I made in a few days. Fingers crossed my task is successful and that I am able to move a few more pieces of card from the scrap drawer lol
Till next time

One little stamp take 4

This is the 4th of 5 cards I made using the one little stamp from Very Merry tags. This time i made it into a xmas bauble by adding an embossed circle and a scalloped circle, along with a bit of ribbon, a single bling and a bow. Again it was a super quick and easy card to make.

One little stamp take 3........

This time I used my stamped image and made little tiny ornaments for my card. A wee bit on the fiddly side to fold them in half but not too time comsuming to make them. I teamed the images again with the matching embossing folder and a greeting from the retired set Curly Cute. I then added a bling in the middle and my card was complete. Super simple and super quick to make.
Keep an eye on my blog for the remaining 2 cards I made using this little stamp, and don't forget to sign up as follower if you want to get notification in your inbox every time I post

One little stamp take 2....

I have to say I am not a huge fan of washi tape but it definitely looked good and added some addtional splashes of colour to this quick and simple card.
Might do this one in Nelson at the end of the month as I am pretty sure the girls will love washi tape. Might even leave them some to play with after I come home.

Take one little stamp....

And a cherry cobbler and gumball green stamp pad, some cardstock and embossing folder that matches the image perfctly and what do you get? Why Xmas cards of course!

I haven't yet purchased Mosaic madness so had to make do with the image from Very Merry tags. I have to say I had a heap of fun with just this one little stamp and punch.

Its so easy to create with and even though I used the same image the cards are all different.
I will share the rest of the cards I made this week so check back or sign up to follow my blog and that way you will get to see them all

First up today is three cards, all made the same way but with the stamped image colours switched around ever so slightly to create a slightly different looking card.

White cards are not something we make to often but they are clean and crisp and no fail cards to make. Also my eyes were not 100% as I had an allergic reaction to a facial last week and they are so sore that it had to be simple simple simple today or it just would not have gotten made at all. I looked liked something from halloween on Friday but am looking much more like Tee-jay today (yay)

Colourful Seasons

The weather this weekend has been absolutely miserable and I  didn't feel guilty  for once popping into the craftroom to create. With th...
