Scallop tag topper

The new scallop tag topper has to be my all time favourite in the new mini catalogue. I do love my punches but this one just ticks all the boxes and is soooo versatile.

I had a class today using it and the ladies where all amazed at what you could do with it. We used it for tags for gifts, tags suitable to put on cards, boxes, easter baskets, hersheys kisses holders and on boxes. I thought I would share a few of the tags this time round (rest assured I will post the other projects over the next couple of weeks)

The tag on the left had a small dot of ink so I popped a pearl over the top and covered it. I work on the theory there are no mistakes in crafting, they are all design features and I have to say I quite like the design feature on this tag. The middle tag is a gift tag to go on a birthday present and the tag on the right is slightly longer as it is a book mark

The tag on the left is a take on one of the cards we made last month, the middle uses 2 different stamped images that work well together and the one on the right uses the leaf image from the retired stamp set French Foliage.

It was a great afternoon with a great bunch of ladies

Till next time
Happy crafting

Off for a walk on the wild side....

I have decided to take a walk to the other side and try and scrapbook. One thing I have discovered in the past 24 hours is I need a bigger desk! Now I'm a reasonably messy card maker when it comes to the quantity of blank space on my desk but scrapbooking.........mm well my desk is utter chaos.
I had stocked up on the 8x 8 pages recently in the clearance rack so thought that would be a good size to start with.

All the pages I see on the net are stunning works of art. Sadly I am not up to that standard but I hope with practise and a bigger desk I will one day be wow-ed at a page I make. I have decided tho that 8 x 8 is a good place to start as you can at most get a couple of photos on each page. Perhaps one day I shall be off my learner lisence and graduate to 12 x 12.

In the meantime heres one I did today of my daughter taken in Nelson. Very basic but a starting point none the less.

Valentines cards

I had a request for 20 valentines cards last week and the only stipulation was 4 x 4 square and red and cream. There is a lovely new set in the ocassions mini callled Language of Love which in clear isonly  $28.95 plus shipping.
The large heart stamp fits perfectly in the large heart punch and has the word love in many languages, french, dutch, phillipino, latin etc.  and I combined it with the hearts a flutter stamp and die set it was an easy card to duplicate 20 times.

Colourful Seasons

The weather this weekend has been absolutely miserable and I  didn't feel guilty  for once popping into the craftroom to create. With th...
