Be Merry tags

Heres my take on the tag that I cased from my upline Rachael. This week I received a lovely gift from her. Feel free to check out her blog at  http://knightstamper.blogspot.co.nz The gift included a gorgeous tag which I had to case. Here's my take on the tag.

I decided I would make a few tags myself but as I had left my red glitter bottle at school in Nelson I used a pearl coloured with a permanent marker instead. They are super wasy to make:
Stamp image in early expresso ink, cut along lines, colour holly leaves with marker, use large tag on chalk talk (but turn it over and trace around it on cherry cobbler cardstock), cut out. Stick stamped image to base, cut hole for tulle with one of the dies from chalk talk and then feed tulle thru. Tie off with linen thread, add coloured pearls and hey presto you are all finished. They look awesome on a box of chocolates or biscuits or a present.
I hope you all have a wonderful xmas with family and friends and perhaps find a little time for crafting
Till next time
Happy crafting

Super quick and easy Xmas cards

These two cards took less than 10 minutes to make (5mins each!) I love making cards that are this super quick and easy to make but then Stampin' Up make it sooo easy for me. I used the lattice die, an embossing folder, a stamp, a punch, a small piece of ribbon and one bling.

Its party time!

My friend who works over the road from my office is having a special birthday between Xmas and new year and was going to buy a little pad of invites from Whitcoulls. Now I couldn't have that so I offered to  make them as anything with an 0 on the end of it is way too special not to have personalised invites.

She came round, had a look thru my very large sample box and liked the invite I made for my 50th, a change in colour and a tweek in design and we had an invite. The inserts were a fancy font with flourishes top and bottom. Perfect for my friend.

It was great to be able to hand 30 of them over the next day with the white chalker marker and some classy black envelopes. Feedback has been great from the recipients and it was a pleasure to make something special for a birthday with the big 0 on the end of it
