Happy Easter Miss Sav

This is the first Easter we have have not had Sav home and I have to say whilst its not ideal I have been busy. I am renovating her room....ssshhhh its a secret and she doesn't know anything about it. The builders have been and gone and lowered the ceiling and insulated, the electrician has put new lights in and rewired the powerpoints and lights and the gibstopper has been. I have been sanding windows, door frames and skirtings and hope to be able to throw some primer around tomorrow.

I wanted to make a card for Sav that reflected time rather than Easter as I knew she would be feeling a bit down as she was not going to be home for Easter. So I made card using Rich Razzleberry as I know she likes this colour. So live, laugh and love seemed to be the order of the day.
Till next time

Having a wheelie good day

Today we had a phone call from school from our 14 year old daughter to tell us the exciting news that she can finally ride a 2 wheeler. Given she has balance issues this was cause for huge excitement in our house as we thought this would never be possible.

So what better opportunity than to break out a stamp set that had not seen ink, my white embossing powder, a sponge and make a card. Super quick and easy and I am sure Sav will love it.

If you've not seen the stamp its one of the salebration items that are available till the 22nd of this month.

As I seem to have a thing about crumb cake at the moment so I have also included a card that I made for someone special to put with some chocolate. Those of you that know my family should be able to work out who is going to get it. Sshhhhh not a word cos I want to pick the right moment

Happy birthday Dinasours

One of the staff's boys had a birthday last Saturday and I was unable to make it to the party as I was off crafting for the weekend. While I was away I made a card for him using the dinasour stamps and my ink pads and blender pen.

Flutter by little butterfly

I am away on retreat for the weekend and whilst away I have been playing with the new Swallowtail stamp. This card is super super easy to make.

Cut your topper 3 and 3/4" square, your card base is 4 by 8, scored at 4"
Stamp the swallowtail stamp with versamark, then stamp on your cream or white topper. Cover with white embossing powder, then heat with your heat gun.

Choose the colours for your butterfly (soft pastel colours work best) and cut a piece of sponge for each colour. Dab your sponge in the ink pad and using a circular motion rub gently over the embossed area. You can go over your colours so they blend together. No two cards will be the same.

Next stamp your greeting, then tape topper to card, insert inner and you are done. I didn't think the card needed a greeting so left it off. It can now be a get well, sympathy, birthday, thank you card.
Till next time
